Well, the big day for Emily finally arrived. She was so excited/nervous. Our stake has baptisms by ward, and she was the only one in the ward getting baptized Saturday, so she got to plan the whole program. She heard two excellent talks by her grandmother's about repentance/baptism and the Holy Ghost. I asked her if she wanted to be baptized in English or Portuguese and she chose Portuguese, which was a little bit "aww" for me. We gave her a new set of scriptures -- a blue leather-bound quad, and a journal that everyone who came to her service got to write a note in for her. Afterward we had a nice picnic in the backyard and a nice visit with everyone who came.
